Who do the emails come from?

When you send files with Digital Pigeon we send your recipient an email with a link to download the files.  This email will appear as if it was delivered from your own email address.

What's the difference between active and archive storage?

Active storage represents the total size of all files which are currently available for download, you could think of it as your active projects or jobs. After you've finished with files in active storage they are moved to unlimited archive storage, you can download them at any time after restoring them to active storage. Read more about storage...

Why is this more expensive than some other file sending services?

At Digital Pigeon we spare no expense to ensure speedy and consistent file delivery.  A missed file delivery is far more costly to your business than our modestly increased price.  More information is available on our comparison page.

How long am I locked in?

You're not.  You can switch plans at any time, unused time on in your current billing period will be credited to our account for your new plan selection. You can also cancel your subscription at any time, please see our terms of service regarding refunds.

Can I change plan later?

Of course! If your needs change, you can upgrade or downgrade at any time.  Unused time is credited towards a new plan if you change plan.

Can I add more file storage?

Yes, additional storage is charged based on the average storage used in a month. If you plan includes 10 GB of storage and you average 11 GB of storage for the month you'll be charged for the extra 1 GB.

Do I have to enter my credit card to sign up?

No, you will only need to enter your name and email address and your good to go on our trial.  Only if you decide to continue on a paid plan will you need to enter payment details.

What credit cards do you accept?

We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express.

What is 'Active User licensing'?

Active User licensing refers to the concept of only paying users that access Digital Pigeon during the billing month.  So for example, the Enterprise plan includes 20 user accounts, you could create users for all 100 staff members but if only 25 staff login during the month you'll only be charged for the five additional active users.

What is 'flexible billing' and why is it optional for the small plans?

Flexible billing removes hard storage and download limits in favour of cost effective pay-as-you-go usage based billing. This ensures that your clients don't see "download limit exceeded" messages when they access your files or "insufficient storage" messages when you're trying to upload files on a deadline. Digital Pigeon will automatically send you email notifications when you're approaching these limits and you can monitor your usage from within the app.

What are users?

Users are authenticated members of your account for example an employee or co-worker. Each user can use their own email address to log into a shared account to send, share and receive files.

Do I need to add users for the recipients of my files?

No recipients of your files do not need a Digital Pigeon account or to be a 'user' in your account.
