Questions About Plans

  • What’s included in a "download"?

    A download is when someone accesses the files uploaded to Digital Pigeon. Download usage includes instant media previews and any other file ‘activity'. You can find out more about download usage here.

  • What is the included downloads per month?

    Downloads are uncapped. All plans include 200 GB of downloads (per month) from Amazon's business-grade cloud storage service - an ample amount for the vast majority of our customers. For users who need more, your service will not be interrupted. You will incur a small charge per GB over this usage - and will receive notifications when you use 70% and 90% of the included downloads.

  • How much storage is included?

    200 GB for Freelancer, Professional and Business, 50 GB for Essentials. When you are busy, you can access on-demand storage which is charged on a per GB basis indicated in the table below.

    Digital Pigeon includes automated tools to help manage your storage and optionally remove or archive storage.

  • What is 'storage' and 'archived storage'?

    Files that are accessible for immediate download are considered ‘storage’. These files are stored on high speed Amazon S3 storage to provide maximum transfer speeds.

    Archived storage is suitable for the medium to long-term cloud storage of your files. Files that are archived are not available for immediate download but can be reverted to regular storage quickly and easily. Many of our customers use archive storage as a cost-effective back-up of their work.

  • Why is Digital Pigeon more expensive than some other file sending services?

    Unlike our competition, we cater to the needs of digital media producers and creatives - not just any company in any industry. We don’t cut corners on you being able to deliver your work to clients, quickly and reliably - every single time.

    As a result, our infrastructure costs are higher than our competitors.. And isn’t a missed file delivery far more costly to your business than a modestly increased price?!

  • Do you support customized plans?

    Our Enterprise plan supports custom storage and download limits, including options for fixed price invoices and bulk usage discounts. Please contact us for more details.

  • What credit cards do you accept?

    We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, and JCB with payment processing provided by Stripe. For USD, we bank with Silicon Valley Bank in California and National Australia Bank for AUD.

  • Do I have to enter my credit card to sign up?

    No, you will only need to enter your name and email address to start your trial. If you decide to continue on a paid plan after the trial period, you will need to enter your payment details.

  • Can I change plan later?

    Yes! If your needs change, you can upgrade or downgrade at any time. Unused time is credited towards a new plan if you change plan.

  • How long am I locked in?

    You're not. You can switch plans at any time, unused time in your current billing period will be credited to our account for your new plan selection. You can also cancel your subscription at any time. For refund queries, please see our terms of service.

  • Is a recipient of a file counted as a user?

    No. And even better, recipients don’t need to create a Digital Pigeon account to access your files.

  • What is a ‘user’?

    Users are authenticated members of your account. For example, this would include an employee or coworker. Each user can use their own email address to log into a shared account to send, share and receive files.

  • What’s included in my trial?

    Your 14-day free trial gives you the ability to try all Digital Pigeon has to offer. This includes custom branded themes, user management, receiving files and usage of the Amazon content delivery network. This means you don’t need to select a plan now!

    Your trial has a 50GB download limit. And it does not include optimized route file delivery or access to the Amazon CloudFront CDN feature. Please contact us if you wish to test these features in your trial.

  • What happens after the trial period?

    You will still be able to access your account once your trial period has expired. However, until a plan is selected and payment is made you will not be able to send files and users will be restricted from downloading files.

    Should you decide not to take any action and after a reasonable grace period, your files will be removed from our servers.

Instead of randomly cutting off downloads like some of our competitors do, we provide on-demand downloads and storage - for when you need it most. Your clients should never get an alert that their files can’t be accessed - but you will receive notifications that your approaching your allowance, so there are no surprises!
